 The Health Ministries of Christ Lutheran Church includes sponsorship of Mission of Mercy, a free doctors' office and pharmacy. Twice a month doctors, nurses, translators, registrars and hospitality workers set up at the Church from 8:30 AM to 3 PM. Regular adult primary care and some limited minor surgeries are provided. If medications are needed, they usually are provided at the time of the visit.
Additionally, on Mission of Mercy days, dental services are offered in the Church Nursery. This is available on a walk-in basis. Arrival and sign-in at 8:30 AM is suggested.
All services and medicines are provided free of charge. In this way, 150 people a month are helped. The pharmacy component is crucial for patients who can afford neither a doctor nor their medicines. Unfortunately, we are not a pharmacy, and are not able to fill prescriptions written by other physicians.
A coalition of area churches and service organizations take turns providing a light lunch for those who are waiting over the noon hour to be seen by a doctor or dentist.
If you need this service, appointments are greatly preferred. Please call our appointment line at 972-4993. A limited number of walk-in appointments are provided each clinic day as we are able. Your best bet to get a walk-in slot is to arrive at the Church by 8:30 that morning. Please see the calendar for the current schedule.
