General System Information

The Host Name should be your domain name, in our case, www.pcvsoftware.net, followed by the host name of the system on which the website is running, tsunami.he.net. If you are not using virtual hosting with your own domain, then the value here will be the domain name of the hosting service. Virtual hosting means that more than one domain is running on the same server. The second name will be the host name assigned to the system when it was started.

The Host IP Address is the network address assigned to your host. If your hosting service gave you a unique IP address (this would not be the case for a virtual hosting arrangement), then you should see it here. Otherwise, this will be the network address of the server at the hosting service (or, if the server has multiple network adapters, the network address of the adapter being used by your virtual host). If the second address is different from the first, then your hosting system is using multiple network adapters or addresses, and the second address is the primary one used by the system. In the case of two different host names above, the second address is the network address of the second host name. In this example, www.pcvsoftware.net is running on 66.220.5.178 and tsunami.he.net can be found at 66.220.5.2

Uptime is the length of time your server has been running since the last time it was rebooted (i.e., the entire server operating system was restarted). Note that the server software itself may have been restarted more recently than this, but restarting the server normally causes little or no disruption in access to the web site. Longer uptimes mean that the server operating system and system software are relatively stable. This system has been up for 134 days, 5 hours and 30 minutes

CPU Load refers to the percentage (of 100%) of time the CPU was actually executing any software (operating system, server program or web site application programs). The rest of the time, the CPU was waiting, either for disk activity to complete or for a request for service from a running program. Smaller numbers (less than 10) mean that the systems is not being stressed by too many processes. Higher numbers (over 50%) mean that processes spend too much time waiting for the system, which may result in slower load times for your web site pages. Three measurements are available, the usage one minute ago (0.48%), five minutes ago (0.52%) and fifteen minutes ago (0.49%).
